My first experience with pit bull-type dogs was when my sister brought home baby Renoir. I lived under the same roof as Renoir for almost all of his first year of life and got to know him very well. Pre-Renoir, I had never really thought about pit bulls and didn’t really know that much about them. After spending time with Renoir and educating myself on the bully breeds I now know that I was blessed to have been a part of his life and am thankful for having known him. He was the inspiration that led us to take on the challenge of helping to change the negative image of pit bull-type dogs.
In 2008 we saved Honey Bunny from a GA shelter. She is beautiful, strong, comical, and loving – what more could one ask for? She has since become the force that drives my pittie passion. Pit bull dogs were once seen with respect and were considered upstanding citizens of the community. Pit bull-type dog owners all over the world strive to regain a positive presence for their faithful and loving companions.
